I received a pool pass in the past. Do I have to complete this new application?
Starting in 2024, Landsdowne moved to MemberSplash, a cloud based online system for all pool passes.
Homeowners only need to apply for a pool account once. However, tenants are required to submit a new application each year along with a valid lease.
If you do not currently have a pool account, you must create one in order to access the pool.
All pool passes are applied for, reviewed, approved, and managed through MemberSplash.
Visit Request Pool Pass to create your account.
How do I apply for pool passes for my family?
Great question!
Staring in 2024, all Landsdowne Community Association pool passes will be managed electronically.
To ensure you, and your family or tenants, receive their pool pass, follow these steps:
- Every address in Landsdowne will have one account owner (that’s usually Mom or Dad, but could be any adult). The account owner will visit Request Pool Pass to create an account and apply for their 2026 pool pass.
- Once the application has been submitted, it will be reviewed to ensure that the account owner has followed all the steps – like accepting all pool rules, confirming that all dues are current, and that tenants (aka: renters) have uploaded a copy of their current lease.
- The account owner needs to log into their account (by clicking on Log In on the top of the menu or visiting Manage Account on the homepage) to:
- Edit account details (such as your address or phone number)
- Change password
- Add your smiling picture
- Add your emergency contact
- Add members to your account (such as adults and teenagers who should have access to the pool)
- See your Guest Pass Credits (everyone gets 10 complimentary guest passes!)
- And view your visit history
How do I know my application was approved?
Great question!
Every Landsdowne homeowner and resident must complete the pool pass application to receive access to the pool. After you complete the pool pass application, Kelsey Shalaby with Sequoia Management will review your application to ensure that you have accepted all pool rules and, if you are a renter, your application includes a copy of your lease. This process may up to 5 business days.
You can check the status of your application in your account summary. If you Account Type is listed as “Waitlist”, then your application has not been approved. To check the status:
- Log in to the website by clicking Log In on the top right hand corner
- Click Manage Account on the top of the page
- Account status will say “Paid”
Note that if your property is not current on HOA dues or has an outstanding fine, your pool pass application may not be approved until your account is clear.
If you have additional questions, contact Kelsey Shalaby at Sequoia Management.
Can my teenager visit the pool by himself/herself/themselves?
YES!
The Landsdowne Community Association pool allows parents/guardians to give their teenagers – ages 13 to 17 years old – the ability to visit the pool by themselves!
While teenager pool passes allow holders access to the pool premises without an adult, teens are not allowed to bring in a guest (including siblings). In addition, if your teen breaks any pool rules, their pool pass may be suspended and/or revoked for the 2024 pool season.
To add a teen to your account:
- Log into your account (click Log In) at the top right hand corner of this page
- Under the Members section, click the three dots on the top right corner.
- Click Add Member
- Complete the form with the following required information:
First Name
Last Name
Member Type (THIS IS WHERE YOU CHOOSE TEENAGER)
Gender
Birthdate
How do I check in at the pool?
When you visit the pool, you’ll be asked to enter your last name on a tablet at the front desk. If your pass has been approved, your name will appear on the screen. Click the button next to your name, then click Submit.
That’s it!
You can log into your Member Splash account to see when you, and the members of your account, have visited the pool!
What are the pool rules and regulations?
Thanks for asking!
To ensure the health and safety of everyone – including lifeguards, pool staff, and guests – the following rules and regulations are in place:
In addition:
- Lifeguards, and pool staff, managed by High Sierra Pools, are responsible for the Landsdowne Community Association pool and pool premises.
There may be additional rules, regulations, or requests that the lifeguards may ask and all directions provided must be respected and followed.
If you do not agree with a decision made by a lifeguard, do not argue with the lifeguard. You may send an email to [email protected] with additional information.
The staff (and HOA board) reserves the right – at their sole discretion – to deny entry to you or your group, and/or demand that you or members of your group leave the pool premises. In addition, the lifeguards and pool staff may suspend or revoke your (and your family’s) pass for the 2025 pool season. - The wading pool may only be used by children under the age of 5 years old. The wading pool does not have a lifeguard on duty.
- At 45 mins past the hour, lifeguards will blow their whistle to signal a 15 minute break. During this time there is NO ENTRY to the pool by anyone, of any age. Adults and children are not allowed to touch the water. The pool will reopen at the top of each hour, which will be signaled by the lifeguards blowing their whistles.
- If the pool reaches max capacity, no additional guests will be allowed in to the pool area. This includes homeowners and residents with a pool pass, AND, guests of any party reservation.
Why is there no "adult swim" this year?
In years past, adults were allowed to stay in the pool when the lifeguards called a 15 minute break every hour at 45 minutes past. Yet, having an “adults-only” swim time is illegal under the Fair Housing Act.
The Fair Housing Act prohibits discrimination in the provision of facilities based on “familial status.” Basically, “familial status” exists where one or more persons under age 18 live with a parent or guardian. Homeowner associations and condominium associations are subject to the provisions of the Fair Housing Act and as such are barred from discriminating in providing access to amenities based on “familial status.” In summary, it is illegal to discriminate against kids by forcing them to exit the pool, especially since many kids are better swimmers than adults.
Another consideration is that when parents or guardians enjoy the pool without their kids, who is monitoring their children? Parents and guardians are responsible for their actions and behavior of their kids at all times. The lifeguards are hired to save lives, not babysit kids.
Finally, the contract with High Sierra Pools, our new pool management company, requires that all of their pools have a 15 minute break period every hour so that lifeguards have a chance to take a break, check chemicals, and reconnect as a team to discuss issues.
Are swim lessons available?
Absolutely! High Sierra Pools – our pool management company – is offering swim lessons at the Landsdowne Community Association pool this summer!
For more information, and to register for lessons, visit: High Sierra Pools Swim Lessons
How do I request to host a party, or group, at the pool?
Landsdowne Community Association homeowners and residents are invited to reserve space on the pool patio, with access for your guests to enjoy the pool!
For additional information and the request application, visit: Party Reservation
What is the guest pass policy?
During the March 2026 Board meeting of the Landsdowne Community Association, the Board voted to provide ten (10) complimentary guest passes per household.
Additional guest passes may be purchased in packs of ten (10) for $3 per pass ($30 per pack). To purchase additional passes, please mail a check to Sequoia Management, made payable to the Landsdowne Community Association, at 4795 Meadow Wood Lane, Suite 300 West, Chantilly, VA 20151. Once received, the guest passes will be added to your account.
A limit of three (3) guests per day is enforced. Guest passes are not transferable. Every guest must be accompanied by a pass holder at the pool, and guests will be asked for their full name at check-in. Only ADULT pool members may check in guests.
Account holders are responsible for educating their guests about the rules of the pool and enforcing these rules. If your guest violates pool rules, the account holder will be held responsible for the actions and behavior of their guests. Consequences of violating any rules – including if your guests violate pool rules – may include suspension or revoking of your, and your family’s, 2026 pool passes and/or a violation fine.
To see your guest passes and manage when they are used, log into your account by clicking Log In on the top right hand corner of the menu bar or by visiting Manage Account on the homepage.
